These are nice looking tables from a distance, but the pieced-together wood used for the tops is so cracked and distressed that they (and we) couldn’t find any solid wood to put four screws in the bottoms to properly secure the tops to the metal bases—so only two screws, both on one side of each table are holding the tops to the bases. As a result, there is a gap between the wooden tops and the metal bases on the unsecured sides of the table. I was going to screw them down myself since the metal bases have pre-drilled holes, but there is no wood (only air pockets/large cracks) to screw into.
