This TV stand should have been a straightforward assembly, but poor quality control turned it into a headache. The holes for the magnetic door catch did not line up, the holes for the top shelf did not line up, and removing a sticker damaged the finish. While screwing in the screws that held the cardboard backing on the piece, you can hear the woods splitting as you gently advance the screws and you can tell that the wood is splitting. For a brand-new piece of furniture, I should not have had to work around manufacturing defects before I could even use it. I am a disabled person with significant mobility limitations and chronic pain, and I still managed to assemble it by myself in about three hours. the assembly experience was far more frustrating than it should have been, and quality control needs improvement.
