35 Stars — Saved from 1 star only by the cheap price and our trade tools
I am giving this desk 3 stars, but if two specific things werent true, this would easily be a 1-star review.
As home maintenance professionals who work regularly alongside interior design clients, we assemble a lot of furniture. While this was our first personal purchase from Wayfair, the build process and finished look fell well short of expectations based on the listing. Once fully assembled, it is a decent-looking desk, and at under 200 each, the price point is a plus.
However, quality control was disappointing. We were missing a bracket, some pre-drilled holes were significantly misaligned, several screw holes needed to be rethreaded, and we had major issues getting the cam locks and connecting cam screws to engage properly due to poor tolerances. Thankfully, we had spare hardware and the specialized trade tools to re-thread, re-drill, and fabricate working insertion points ourselves rather than going through the hassle of returning them. An average buyer relying on basic hand tools is going to be completely stuck.
Furthermore, the marketing photos are misleading. The listing images show seamless wood legs with zero visible hardware, but the actual desk is covered in obvious, dark, exposed screw heads across the frame.
If these desks cost a dollar more, or if we didnt have professional tools and spare hardware to fix defectivemissing parts, this would be a 1-star review.
