Hi Izzy is a two star simply because the design for the metal base causes it to weaken, wobble, and nearly fold after about six months of use. The seat cushions are comfortable and sturdy with the whole barstool is only as good as the metal base to support it. My husband ended up welding, a support piece on the left and right side of each barstool so that it was sturdier. For what we paid I do not feel like we should have had to modify the barstool and we are average size people, 110 to 180 pounds using these only a few times a week.
