We could tell how well made this bookcase was by how very heavy the shipping boxes were. It came in 5 different boxes and each was heavy. Assembly was way easier than I thought it would be although I did require help at certain times due to the huge item it is. Luckily I read the other review that said to keep track of the boxes for part info. The finish on the veneer is pretty good but I do wish they had just used real wood. It looks great and hopefully will last a long time.

Once assembled, it looks great. Assembling it is adventure. This is a modular design and the instructions cover a number of variations, so you will have to decipher which one you bought - pay close attention to a label attached on the cardboard boxes before you throw them out for the actual reference number. My order came missing brackets to connect the shelves to each other… hopefully that’s resolved soon. The shelves are covered in a very fragile veneer. If this was solid wood, it would be 5/5. But they’re solid enough.

Assembly directions and tools could be a bit easier but solid overall

It looks great, and the size is exactly what I wanted, but the finish on the wood was horrible! Wayfair has already offered to replace all the shelves. That is great customer service!

We love our bookshelf — it really amplifies the look of the room it’s in. We were going for a very library feel and this helped accomplish that. It holds up great too!
