I bought this over another option because the item name says solid wood. It is, in fact, laminate over particle board.

This shoe storage bench came quickly. It was well packed and instructions for assembly were easy to follow. It has a very nice weight to it and I think will hold up well. I should get years of use out of it. It was perfect for what I needed it for..
