It's very sturdy and well built, but the color is totally different from the image on the website. This is a very dark brown, there is no bookcase that is the light brown that the image shows. Go by the pictures from reviewers here, it is a very dark brown bookcase. If you can get past that, it is a nice strong bookcase. The veneer is kind of dull and rough as if it were real wood, which I like. I just wish it was light brown like the picture promises

This was just what I needed! I bought it in white and it matched perfectly to what I already had due to the accuracy of the photo. Easy to put together and sturdy.
