Solid Wood Bench

I'm really disappointed in the quality of this bench, especially having vetted the reviews ahead of time. The finish is really rough. There is wood filler that was sloppily applied and never fully sanded, but instead just stained over. There's also visible glue at some of the joints. While it seems like it should be sturdy once easily assembled, the wood is very lightweight. It creaks and groans; I'll be waiting to see if it splits in the near future. The design and size is great, and it's comfortable to sit on. If it was made of better material with more attention to the finishing detail, it could be a five-star bench. But the way it is now, it's not even close.

We really like the bench! It looks great in our laundry room to have a place to sit and put on shoes. Easy to assemble and looks just like the picture! Very pretty!
