We love this table. We eat here on special occasions. The chairs are very elegant and comfortable.

I have good and bad news that happened to me as a 1st time customer. Unless its something I cant live without, due to my expierience, I will most likely not shop at wayfair again. I understand things happen ect. But I really felt no one cared or would do anything to make my situation better. Even though customer service was nice they just wouldnt do anything. I ordered this set back in Feb. It stated estimated arrival March 11. Then it moved to march 13. The wayfair website would NOT give any updates on tracking once the item reached California. After waiting a few weeks, I contacted customer service via email. I was sent a generic "you have an estimated delivery" and its now going to be March 18th. Still the website tracker gave none of this information. Then March 18th came, I still have no item, so I go online to see if any updates and it shows my item was sitting at Kent warehouse since March 9th. SO, as a new customer, I am thinking - its 9 days later and no one has delivered my item or contacted me..why?? So i email customer service upset and wait for a reply. I then get an email pretty much saying it is what it is. And I was scheduled to deliver March 22. What? Why so late? No one could give me answers. Not to mention customer service kept telling me someone would call me to schedule my delivery. It was scheduled and no one called me or notified me until I searched on wayfair website and saw that it was. So I get the delivery, the delivery men called prior to arriving and were super friendly both times. (both times - why - my items arrived with damages after all this chasing around to get it)!!! One chair was full of snags and missing a rivot. The table butterfly leaf was broken inside the packaging bubble wrap and it had been dropped at some point because the corner was busted and wood broken off the table edge inside the styrofoam. The boxes were all beat up and ripped. And knowing it sat in a warehouse for an extra week before being delivered made me wonder where it all took place at. I immediately called customer service (I had bought the warranty, thank goodness!) The gal was very nice and immediately whipped up replacements for me. Told me it would be a priority and I would get the items on the 29th. Seven days rolls by and I have no table or chair replacement. No tracker update as usual. On Easter, when spending time with family.. I randomly get the chair delivered, didnt know I was getting it then. Thanks for the celebration interruption. Then I finally had it, I called into customer service again a week later and speak to a guy that was nice. He said he didnt know any update on the replacement table because the carrier didnt have anything. So he was going to research and push where he could. After that, a few says later I all of a sudden have an email of my scheduled delivery again for April 14. Once again, different delivery guys but very nice and called like they are supposed too. ONCE I actually had a table and chairs to put together.. The quality - it's decent enough, but you can tell when putting it together how its not the highest quality. The chairs wobble. My husband and I both did all the tricks in the book we could think of and cant get them to sit flat. Now when you sit in them, there is no wobble. Just if you push on them when standing next to them, the one legs teeter on all of them. The table - has a nice style and look to it. I wonder how well it will hold up because the new table top has scratches in the top from the packaging at the maufactuer. BUT after all my saga, I didnt want to wait another 2 months to have a table top again. Cons- to separate and push the table together, its only a cut out in the wood with no wheels/mechanisms to make it transition smoothly. So when you go to pull or push the table together, its very hard to get it to move. It takes two of us to really shove and shove to get it to budge. Thats a design flaw, our old table had metal gear wheels that would roll the table apart. Having the built in leaf makes the table very heavy but thats to be expected with it built in. The table is made of real wood, but its not a strong quality wood like oak ect. I didnt want pressed board or veneer - this does NOT have that, which is nice. But its definitely on the lower end of quality. Sorry for the long review - but I wanted to give my full expierence and info on the table and chairs.
