This bed is solid and easy to put together. Although I needed help with the very heavy boxes, I put the bed together by myself (46-year-old F). I have an adjustable base, so I can’t speak to the slats. Only one criticism the fabric on the headboard is wrinkling some, but it doesn’t bother me.

Quality bed, simple lines, very classy. Easy to assemble with just two people. It is heavy and stable. The mattress support boards are screwed into the base making the entire bed very sturdy.
