The stools are exactly as advertised. My husband had no trouble putting them together with the tool provided--an Allen wrench, I think. The stools are beautiful and work fine and are sturdy. The chair padding is comfortable and looks super easy to clean despite the lovely white linen-look cover. Two considerations, the back is fairly low, and you may want more support, but I love how they unobtrusively rotate under the counter. The seat area fits about a women's size 12-14 bottom. A much larger person might want to shop for a larger seat. My average size hubby, size 34 waist, says that he is comfortable in the chairs, and they swivel beautifully.
