We didn’t put this down until we had it for about 6 months. Worked well to begin. But then cracked across the middle and the entire piece has shifted and has a large bump in the middle. Now, it’s useless!

I can't believe I didn't find this sooner. Stop trying to mess around with the hard to flatten plastic mats... this is EXACTLY what I needed for my office/under my desk. I didn't want the chair messing up the carpeting. This mat looks like a carpet but it is smooth and the chair rolls effortlessly on top of it. You unfold it from the packaging and you are good to go!
