I'm using my book cabinet as a little free library and it has been wonderful so far. It was easy to assemble and looks adorable near my Farm Stand. The materials are a bit on the "cheap side" but that makes sense considering the reasonable price. If you are going to use this cabinet inside then I don't think there is any room for improvement; however, if you are using outside there are some things to consider. 1. The door doesn't have a latch so it easily opens on it's own and won't stay closed when situated outside. I added my own magnetic latch. 2. The materials are not painted or sealed so I stained mine to help it withstand the natural elements. 3. The roof's middle seam will allow water to leak through so I added a strip of water tight tape across it. Considering the price and ease of assembly I found the book cabinet easy to customize towards my needs.

This little library book cabinet is really cute. Easy to assemble, looks very rustic, farmhouse like. I used a medium wood stain and hand painted the little library wording (not professional looking) but cute nonetheless. I did have to seal the roof seam with black caulking as there is a tiny gap and my bookshelf will be outdoors on a post for a little neighborhood library on our small street. Hopefully it will withstand the elements. I may have to put roof shingles on the top for rain/snow protection. Overall I am happy with it so far. The size is perfect, Door opens and closes well. The added middle shelf is a bonus. There is plexiglass on the front door for safety reasons.
