42" Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Island Cart With Wood Top & X-Design Cabinet

I’m disappointed with this kitchen island. Assembly was very difficult—screws wouldn’t drive in even with a powerful drill, and the wheels took me about two hours to install. At the end I discovered both cabinet doors were the same piece, so one handle sits on the hinge side and is unusable; the pieces were labeled correctly, so I didn’t catch it before installing. The island’s back is finished for placement against a wall, not freestanding in the middle of the kitchen. I’ll keep using it for now because it provides good counter space and one door still works, but I’ll change my rating if the manufacturer fixes the door/handle issue. I’ve attached two photos showing the handle/door problem and the screw difficulties.

This ended up looking ok when it was complete, but I gave it only one star because of how terrible the pieces are, and the instructions are AWFUL. The pieces were clearly damaged or scratched, and they used a totally non-matching paint on the pieces to try to cover it up. The handles for the doors also don't have screw holes to match the holes drilled in the doors. Overall, a really terribly made products and not worth any money.

Update: I got a replacement, and it was also used and disgusting, with roach eggs. I cannot believe a company would be sending used disgusting items as new. What a disappointment. I will not be purchasing anything else for August Grove®. The last 5 photo are from the 2nd one. I received a USED product, this kitchen island was obviously put together, used, and disassembled and sent back. And instead of disposing of it, it was repackaged and sent to me. It was disgusting with food and grease in places, scratched and rubbed, cracked, peg still glue in. Absolutely disgusting. It was also missing the handles and the casters. The photos reflect my words. I have 68 photos, I won't put them all here - there was not one piece that was not damaged and /or dirty. The drawer panel have been touched up with spray paint.
