What a transformation for my mudroom - from a disorganized mess to an organized and neat coat and show rack

I have been looking for a hall tree for a while to help get my kids book bags and jackets organized, and I finally went with this one. Shipping was fast, and it arrived well-packaged with no damage. Assembly took me about two and a half hours by myself, and it would have been quicker with help. Once it was put together, I was surprised by how sturdy it is. It feels solid and does not wobble at all. It is a little shorter than I expected, but that actually works out because I can still use the top for storage baskets. The finish is not solid white, you can see the wood grain showing through the white wash paint, which gives it a nice look. The bench is perfect for book bags, there are cubbies for shoes and two larger ones for boots, and the middle cubbies are great for items like keys, sunglasses, baseball hats, and other small things we tend to misplace. The top works well for extra storage boxes for hats, gloves, and scarves. There is also a side hook for hanging umbrellas. The coat hooks are very sturdy and hold jackets easily. Overall, it has made our entryway much more organized and keeps everything off the floor.

This hall tree has a really attractive design and, once fully assembled, it looks far more high-end than I expected for the price. The layout is practical, with plenty of hooks for coats, a convenient bench for seating, and cubbies underneath that are great for organizing shoes or baskets. It definitely creates that clean, built-in mudroom feel. That said, the assembly process was a bit frustrating. The hardware feels noticeably flimsy, which made me nervous while putting everything together. Some of the pre-drilled holes weren’t very durable and ended up stripping the wood during installation. The wood itself is quite soft, so it doesn’t take much pressure for screws to lose their grip, which can make certain steps tricky and require extra care. Despite those issues, once everything is put together, the unit does feel stable and holds together fine for everyday use. Overall, if you’re patient during assembly and careful with the materials, the end result is a stylish and functional piece that looks great in your space.
