Love this for my foyer. I am also using it as a room divider. You can change the placement of the shelves. The back looks good but I will put something over the bolts to disguise them.

This is a very nice hall tree. It’s solid wood and seems to be of decent quality. The bench was came already assembled so all I had to assemble was the tall back. Assembly was pretty straightforward and simple and I had no issues. I do wish it had a hinge for the bench lid but the manual wood latch works, may add that myself. One thing I want to highlight. Before buying this hall tree I asked if the 2 shelves could be installed in different locations and was told no. That is not true!! I wanted to move the lowest shelf up higher. Well, I decided to get this anyway and I am so glad I did! You CAN move the shelves. This may not be a piece of furniture you’d put in super fancy homes entryway but it was a huge upgrade to my humble abode and I love it so far!

This is an OUTDOOR item. Advertising on the website in multiple places it says the bench has a 250 pound weight limit. After receiving it and reading the instructions at the end it says in bold DO NOT SIT. NOT FOR SEATING. Right now I'm stuck with something I specifically wanted to sit on to take shoes off.
