We paid the extra to have it assembled based on previous reviews of things not lining up. The guy who assembled it seemed to have no issues. Decent quality. Doesn’t feel like solid wood but it does feel sturdy. It matches out bamboo floors perfectly. It works great for office type storage which is what we’re using it for.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful solid wood credenza for a fairly reasonable price, but the instructions for the assembly are ghastly. My base sheet for the credenza also arrived with some soft contours indicating where the pre-drilled holes were supposed to be, but required a drill anyways. I would say the trickiest part about the assembly is combining the sides and top pieces, PAY ATTENTION to the lip of the wood at the edge of each piece—this is where the back should slide into but there are no drawings or indications of this the assembly instructions. The back MDF sheet of the credenza is tricky, be sure to fold and align to the correct middle line (otherwise taking out the tiny nails will be a nightmare). The cabinet door are tough to totally balance out at the end, so if you have never done it before, I strongly recommend an extra set of hands or someone with furniture assembly experience. I’m a pretty experienced furniture assembler, but this took me about two and a half days to assemble (taking break in between out of frustration)—so purchase on your own accord.

The tan color is definitely more yellow tones in person. Okay the small shelf does not fit. It’s about a half inch too big so we are going to have to cut and sand the wood smooth.

Such a cute addition to the dining room! Great storage, clean finish, a great place for the plants.
