Unfortunately, the musty "hay" smell of the natural jute fabric is overwhelming. Days in the sun has not dispelled it. I cannot use it where I intended or the whole room would smell like a barn.

I think the ottoman is just as pictured even though I am somewhat surprised by how big it is. It is very firm, so it could be used as an end table. It’s a comfortable foot rest, but if the chair is too low it may not work. It’s very easy to put together so that’s a plus. I did it with my daughter because inserting the cushion requires some force and maneuvering. Also the jute fabric is not very soft but to me it’s ok because it’s not uncomfortably rough on the skin. I suspected the wrinkles will go eventually.

The fabric on these was surprisingly heavy duty and the zipper seemed pretty sturdy, which is good because the poof insert is quite full and just barely fit. I had someone help hold it open in order to shove and punch the pouf into the cover. I think it would be tricky with just one person. The color was more brown toned than the picture. I was hoping it would be a little more vibrant. I also ordered a green one and got sent a different patterned green pouf that I actually love (better than the one I actually ordered). The folds are pretty apparent in the orange fabric, but Im hoping it fades over time, or I suppose I could try steaming it.

This is a great versatile ottoman. It’s bigger than I expected and used as a foot rest, extra seating, step stool, side table, so many things. And my cat is trying to claim it as her new favorite napping spot. ) great quality beautiful material that matches my living room decor perfect. The insert was a bit hard to get in the cover but it’s very solid once complete. It arrived quickly and I could not be more satisfied with this ottoman. Highly recommend!
