This bed is one of my favorite pieces of furniture!

it went together easily enough. My handiman thought it should have had bed springs or a platform for the mattress to lay on. That t he 4 slates provided arent enough. We used the very heavy cardboard the bed came in as a platform under the mattress. The bed is beautiful in my room

Very pretty bed, though it is a two person job to assemble, as it is pretty heavy. I would suggest a box spring and its not the best slat system.

While the bed is beautiful, it absolutely requires a box spring or additional slats, which I found out when my mattress was delivered, after the bed was put together and too difficult to return. I had triple checked the description, which very clearly says a box spring isn't required. I am arguing with Wayfair about sending bunkie board, so the warranty on the mattress isn't invalidated. Also, a rail with pre-drilled holes was upside down, but was glued on so I couldn't even unscrew it and turn it over. It's frustrating that such important information was incorrect and Wayfair refuses to act quickly, so I have to spend additional money to prevent my mattress from being damaged.
