Its beautiful! It came well packaged and all the pieces were present. For the most part, its a simple assembly. The problem is the position of the bolts and screws. You will need a small space wrench and screwdriver (not provided). Thats the biggest challenge. For the 72 hours Ive had it, it seems well made. It came with minor damage, but given its a distressed piece, it wasnt worth sending back. I was very pleased with the top. The gray wash is subtle, just enough to give some age, but still holds the warmth of the wood. The drawers are pretty small, but there are 4 of them.

Overall, I am very pleased with this kitchen island. It was the perfect size for my small kitchen. I put it together myself, (I’m an 68-year-old woman) and it certainly was a challenge, but it is doable. The drawers are very shallow, but I like that to just store a couple of cutting boards and special serving pieces. I have placed baskets on the shelf below to store items like potato chips and such. Now the downside. The instructions say to only wipe the top down with a dry cloth. This is a kitchen island, so obviously that isn’t practical. I have wiped it down with a damp cloth, and have noticed some of the stain/finish comes off on the paper towel. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, although I may replace the top with a piece of butcher block later. Details are important to me, so I also replaced the knobs and got some iron towel holders and hooks to replace the wooden ones it comes with to customize it to my needs, and give it a more upscale look. It’s a very sturdy, well-made piece, and I have really enjoyed it.
