The natural color is a light pine looking color. Online it looked more like white washed oak - it is not. Second - this is very much a 'surfboard' as my family now calls it. The top edge is flat and then it curves UNDER which is odd. Also the table is narrow. We bought the longer length and it is awkward in our space. If I could return it I would but since this is a 'made to order' piece I cannot. For now I'm hunting for a table runner that doesn't make this look more odd.
