I totally regret buying this stool. It fails miserably on both “ease” of assembly and overall quality. My husband, who is a very adept DIYer, struggled for an hour and a half (no exaggeration!) putting this seemingly simple item together, and that was with finally giving up on one of the bolts supposed to hold the frame to the seat. The pre-drilled holes do NOT line up; some are not even close. The problem seems to be that the holes in the frame are drilled straight, but the holes in the seat, which is curved, are drilled on an angle. Basically, this stool is “engineered” all wrong. As to quality: Once assembled, the frame and seat did not sit square to each other, and the stool rocked because the legs are uneven. The wood is considerably darker than shown in the photo, and the color is actually quite muddy-looking. Besides, the wood is not finished nicely, so the stool looks cheap as can be. I expected better from a stool said to sell for $175. I’d return, but my husband says too much trouble and more aggravation to do so.

It’s perfect to put in my closet so I can put my shoes on. You can sit on the stool or rest your feet while sitting in a chair. The walnut legs and light grey material look expensive. Very sturdy Mid Century Modern style. I would buy it again.
