This chair was not as sturdy as I wanted it to be. It felt wobby, and as other commenters noted, the foot rest/ring doesn't stay and always slid down to the bottom.

It's a good, solid chair, and I like that it can be lifted up much higher than the average desk chair. HOWEVER, a caution to bottom-heavy individuals and anyone who wears a women's size 14 pants or larger: Your behind may not fit in this chair. I'm a 12/14, and though I've never been bottom-heavy, my entire you-know-what fills out this chair with little wiggle room. Unlike my old chair, which had a wider cushion, there is no way I can sit cross-legged (which is fine, it's bad for my knees anyway). So just be aware of that. Otherwise, it's an excellent drafting chair. I hope it holds up for a few years, as it took me a while to find the perfect one!

Beautiful chair. Easy to put together and very comfortable.

It is what it is. It quickly developed a nasty "snap" sound as the seat is shifted back and forth. Loosening and retightening all hardware did not help. The foot rest ring needs to be tightenend regularly or it slides down.

It squeaks every single time you shift in your seat and I’m not a heavy person. The seat cushion is barely there so you can feel the screws in the wood holding the chair together, it’s uncomfortable! Don’t waste your money.
