Generally speaking, they were fine for the price but one was non symmetric so we ended up returning. Worth inspecting before you fully put together.

These counter stores are beautiful and very sturdy. They are exactly the color I was looking for and the wood color is lovely. Everyone who has sat in them so far says how comfortable they are. Just make sure to put the slat with the black coating on it on the higher rung so that you can use it to prop your feet on. We need to redo ours because we did follow the directions. Its an easy fix though! Im so glad I bought these.
