This shelf is awesome. It’s so big and just what I needed for my special things. It’s sturdy and heavy like you expect wood to be. The adjustable shelves are great too. This is a nice piece of furniture. I love it.

The delivery was fine but the product, when unpacked, showed several marks. But the assembly process put longs nails into my bookcase in places where the holes can be seen. This is unacceptable that the shipping could not figure out another way to keep the shelves in place during transit other than to nail a piece of wood into my bookcase. The other blemishes were due to the assembly and are not great but should not be there also. Steve

If I were basing this review on the product description when I purchased and fully paid for four of these back in May (it’s December... more on that later), I would give it a 0. The item description as of Friday was still “solid oak.” The only parts of this that are solid wood at all are the decorative moldings, everything else is plywood. Other issues Not the right color- the mission oak color matches a piece of “cherry” furniture that I own. It’s very much a reddish tone. We have 6 pieces of mission oak furniture, two of which I stained myself these shelves are clearly not mission oak. Ever been short sheeted Well we’ve been short shelved. The moveable shelves are about an inch short in width and a bit over a 14” short in length for the unit. Clearly a cost cuttingmaterial cutting action that resulted in unstable, moving shelves with gaping holes in the back.... or visibly wonky shelves if you push them to the back. If you are looking for shelves to hold binders, these are not the shelves for you. They will hang off the shelf and out the front of the unit itself. The piece of wood down the center of the unit is not deep enough to hold both of the opposing the pegs. One of the pegs falls out with the slightest pressure from the opposing peg. This is not a problem if you want asymmetrical shelving as there would not be an opposing peg. But if you want a more organized look, you will have trouble. They cheat... I mean... “mislead” you on the size of these units by including the width of the oddly chunky molding. If you plan to place these side by side, understand that there will be gaps. These shelves came in “fresh” from the manufacturer... so fresh that they didn’t even bother to shop vac the wood shavings left over from the shelf holes, I assume. (I’m not just talking dust but there is an unbelievable amount of that, too.) A little dust is to be expected, straight dusty is mildly acceptable, this is unreal level of dirty. I feel like the let someone go in the name of “covid” to cut costs and make more profit and I’m now doing their job for them and paying them for me to work for them. So, why did I give them a 3 Great question. First, probably because I’m too nice. Second, because this is a US manufacturer and I want to support them (nothing against goods made in other countries, it’s just better for the environment and our domestic economy). And third, the unit itself, other than the short shelving issue, is not that bad. Hence, 3 stars. The biggest problem comes with it not matching the description. If it had said it was plywood and it was priced as such, I would probably be very happy with the shelves, except for short shelf issue. That’s just absurd, fix that. The delivery process First, I ordered in May. My husband works in manufacturing so we understand that there are delays. This product is manufactured in the USA, which is great. But... I was changed at the time of purchase for the shelves and they did not arrive until December. I had to spend an unbelievable amount of time on the phone with Wayfair (whose wait time is super long because they are swamped) because they moved my delivery date back a month every single month. Wayfair was given multiple stories by the manufacturer about what happened to my order, and why I was charged before it was shipped. One of the stories involved a fort lift accident, the final story was that they were actually having trouble getting wood delivered (which makes sense but why not just say that in month 1). My final estimated delivery date was moved to January. Wayfair had to step in and pressure the manufacturer to get my order completed. The delivery drivers were great. The people that I spoke with on Wayfair were always kind. The final two upper level people, Marisol and Tammy (I think I remember their names.) were very understanding. Because of my interactions with the people who work at Wayfair, I would consider buying with them again. I would, sadly, avoid this manufacturer until they give honest product descriptions.
