Believe me, there is seating space there, but underneath the sitting area there are large wooden supports running through it. So when you lie down, there is a gap and these soft wooden pieces underneath make it extremely uncomfortable. Honestly, they designed it terribly. I genuinely feel like the person who designed this couch never even sat on it once.

This couch is exactly as pictured! It could be more comfortable but I think that will happen over time with breaking it in.

This is an absolutely great sectional. It was so easy to assemble. The instructions were easy to follow and I did it alone and took less than an hour. The material is nice and appears it will be very durable. The color is a soft gray and really opens my room. The cushions are a bit on the firm side but it is still quite comfortable and does not sink in the moment you sit down. I love the extra pillows also.

The sofa arrived in 3 big boxes, and I had to drag them in the house. But once inside, I unpacked each box and followed the simple instructions. The only issue I ran into which prevented me from giving it a 5 star, is the right-side arm of the couch was hard to get in place. The left side slid on easily, but the right side did not. I ended up having to call my son to help me get it on, which after a few tries, he was able to get the connectors lined up and the right-side arm slid in place. It's comfortable and a great sectional for the price.

I am so happy with the final results of this sofa. The assembly was not difficult, only 9 screws and the other pieces slid into each other with brackets. One piece of advise, the pillows and back cushions are very flat and they do not fluff up on their own. We unzipped them and manually fluffed them up and it made a huge difference. The fabric looks good too. The seat cushions are a bit firm but still comfortable.
