Bibliothèque standard Alma H 70,2 "x l 24,4"

I don’t know why it’s poorly reviewed on this site because we love it! It was not easy to put together maybe that’s why.. But it holds my little pretties nicely. In fact, we like it so much, I will probably be ordering another one for the other side of the room. Also, because it’s hard to tell in pictures with beige-ish items, this is a very subtle pink-toned and not yellow-toned beige-ish color. I think it says white oak, but that wasn’t helpful to me.

This shelf totally fell apart! I mean it stood undisturbed in a corner for a few months before the poor quality wood spontaneously ripped apart, causing the whole thing to bust at its seams and dropping every single on of its shelves in a lot clatter all over the ground. What was on it, you ask? One shelf hosted 14 dvds and games for the switch (weighing well under 2 pounds), while another hosted the Witcher series and a couple other books, and the bottom shelf held…a candle and some foam balls. See attached pictures of the damage, including one place where the wood ripped away (this was the shelf holding the candle). It’s a tempting purchase because it’s a relatively cheap shelf, but truly, with the money you do spend, and the tremendous amount and time and effort required to assemble, don’t bother. On that note, the assembly needed to be facilitated by my fiancé who worked in woodworking and carpentry in order to be completed, and even then it was an enormous challenge.

This was difficult to assemble based on diagram instructions. It is made of pressed board, not sturdy but will do for my purpose.

Poorly made. You will damage it putting it together. Grooves poorly fit cut for thin veneered side panels. Two people and 2 hours still cannot get the side panels in.

So we like the piece, it serves it’s purpose. However, the directions for assembly were terrible. There were no nail holes on some pieces and we had to blind hammer on one part and we ended up ruining the bottom inside of the cabinet. Luckily it is not noticeable until you open the doors. The pieces do not fit together well so the right door is not sitting straight. For the price, I think this could be better.
