Mmmmm it's a bookshelf. I got it to help organize my daughters play area. That didn't work, but that's not the shelf's fault, so pardon the mess. We had to screw in and reinforce the backing cus actually putting books on it kept pushing the backing out of the whimsy slots...hence the docking of a star.
