Wood 33'' H Media Shelves

Really amazing little media cabinet. Instructions were easy to follow and assembly was very simple. The hardware was sorted in resealable bags which makes the assembly process much easier and while the included screwdriver was a nice addition, I would recommend using a full size one as the little one can really cramp up a hand. I was a little bit intimidated in how I would connect the doors, though I found just laying it on its back with the doors the hinges line up perfectly. Was also a little concerned that rough particle board was used, but with the overall design of the cabinet and its general function I don't think it's something to have much worry over at all as the board construction seems sturdy enough as it is. Finally, while not a negative factor at all, I thought this was going to end up being an espresso or dark brown, but turns out its much darker, which is what I was preferring anyways.

It is low quality. The finish pips off around the places the posts go in for locking together. The doors don't stay closed. One side will if you lock it. The handles screws are too short for the thickness of the doors. It definitely doesn't hold as much as claimed. Not impressed.

Feels very sturdy for particle board. It was mostly easy to put together; the hard part was attaching the doors to the center section. HAVE YOUR DRILL HANDY because you will need to deepen the pilot holes for the hinge screws. My only complaint (which is why I give it four stars instead of five) is that the left door is held closed by an interior latch while the right door is held closed by lock and key. I don't need to lock up my DVDs. Magnetic push-and-release catches would have been better, and I plan to DIY some in place of the locking mechanism as soon as I can get to the hardware store.

The instructions were clear. I liked,that all the parts were labeled with numbers and all the hardware was packed in separate labeled bags. Assembly would have been easier if the pilot holes for the hinges had been drilled a little deeper. All the parts fit together well and the finished,product is both sturdy and attractive.
