Could definitely improve on comfort and design. The cushions rely on metal coils/springs to keep them "full" so they barely have any material/stuffing inside. This leads to them feeling supportive but also hard at the same time. The cushions are also not removable and thus the couch is not very easy to clean—debris falls down into and gets trapped in the cracks. When the couch folds down into a bed, the margins and creases where the cushions meet are not well supported by springs, so it makes it uncomfortable because since it's so uneven. I'll have to buy an additional cushion to put over the top when I have guess sleep over. I've included a photo of where the cushions are starting to collapse/pull apart near the middle crease where they are not as well supported by the springs. The velvet material is the way to go, though—it looks beautiful and is very easy to wipe and keep clean!

It was awful trying to build this by myself and some of the holes did not align to where I needed them to be to screw the screws in, so one side of my sofa is actually missing a screw unfortunately. Its not the most plush or comforable sofa but the color is vibrant
