I bought these chairs about 20 yrs ago and still love them. I bought purple pillows and sewed Gothic curtain holders to them and tied them to the chairs. Only downside is that they can't hold alot of weight. I would say 200lb max and keep your kitties away because 1 became a scratching post

.. it was out of place at first...so I removed everything from the room and left The Chair..and very liitle else...big impact..this chair owns the room...I need nothing else with my plain wood desk and wrought iron bed frame... it is a bit darker and more golden than pictured..like oak......and Im warning you ..if you are ordering this item from Canada...be prepared to drop some coin....

Not actually a recent purchase, we bought these a couple of years ago for use up front in our church. Bought a set of six and donated two to a small, very old mountain church in our diocese. They look great in both places and having used them a couple years, can also say with assurance that they hold up very well. A good purchase.
