This was exactly what we wanted it to be! The color of the wood and the natural edges of the shelves work really well with the color of the metal. The overall effect is a bold but not overbearing piece.

Fantastic shelf! I was hesitant to purchase because it looks small and flimsy in the picture, and there were no reviews on the product. It's a very strong and sturdy shelf, and actually quite large. Haven't put books on it yet, but have some really awesome book ends already on it. No doubt this thing is super sturdy.
