These are lovely, almost exactly as ordered only problem was THE DAMAGE UNDERNEATH! I wont be ordering from this company again. It seems like through reviews Wayfair is becoming known for sending damaged goods. This is very disappointing especially considering the cost.

Extremely poor quality and experience

Terrible product and very poor customer service. Perigold no longer sells these these cabinets and I was told the reason why is because they’re not up to Perigold’s standards as they have received several complaints. Although I am getting a refund, Perigold will not remove the file cabinets from our house. We are now saddled with having to offload two heavy file cabinets with faulty drawers. It’s going to cost us over $300 to have them moved out of our house. The Perigold rep suggested that we list the file cabinets on Facebook marketplace and get rid of them for free. But, I cannot in good conscience tell people that the cabinets are in good working order. It’ll be obvious as soon as they open any of the drawers, that they don’t work properly. This is unbelievably bad customer service. I would give them a big fat Zero if I could.

On the plus side, the file cabinet looks great and has nice features such as levelers, and a lock. Also, the drawers glide smoothly and rails to support legal-size Pendaflex hanging folders are built in. On the negative side, Wayfair staff is woefully unprepared to answer questions about the product and in my case offered an incorrect answer to my main question as to whether the hanging folder rails came with the product. I had to call the manufacturer, Friant, to get a straight answer. Also, compared to my older American made file cabinets, this one is rather cheaply constructed. The sheet metal is of a lighter gauge than I'd prefer and the drawer glides and bearings are on the flimsy side. At $600 this would have been a good deal. At $999 it is pricey relative to the quality of construction. The supply chain margins on this must be very compelling. Overall, attractive, and well designed but mediocre construction and value.

Very good cabinet. It's stable, it locks well, very clean look. We like it!
