Great Design & Functional Storage. I am actually pretty impressed with this table and here’s why - I really like the oval shape - my dining room is weirdly shaped due to a specific design of the house (it’s not square, it’s not round, it has multiple corners…) so it was a real challenge to find a shape that would fit. The oval shaped table is perfect.
I also like the deep, rich espresso/dark walnut wood finish - it instantly became a focal point of the dining room and fits
seamlessly with the decor and the rug. The design is very nice
too, especially because of the textured, fluted details on the pedestal base - they add this mid-century modern flair which we like.
Also, additional storageis super important for us - that’s why the built-in cabinet base with shelves is a massive bonus - arched, fluted glass doors provide excellent storage for dinnerware (or
decor) without looking cluttered.
The size, however, is a point for debate with my wife - she thinks it will comfortably sit only 4 people because the storage takes space, but I disagree - I think there’s plenty of space for 6 people (someone sitting in front of the glass doors may just need to be more careful not to hit them with their knees or feet…)
Overall, I think the table is a perfect blend of style and functionality and is certainly a great addition to our dining room.
The assembly was pretty straight forward until I go the the fluted accents. The two around the storage unit were OK to deal with. The one going around the single pedestal base, thouth, was tricky. It's not quite long enough to go around and meet for a seamless connection. There is a gap between the two ends and something to consider when you are putting it together. Plan for a small gap and work to place it inside where it's not easily seen.
