I’m enjoying this tv stand and it really works with my apartment and it is so spacious that I can fit some many things.

Pros: - It's cheap (especially when on sale). - It looks better than its price point. - A Denon AVR-X4100W and a Silverstone Grandia GD09 HTPC fit in the center opening with reasonable clearance. I was concerned the unit would be too shallow and some of my heavier HDMI cables would be cramped in back, but it worked out fine, especially since I needed to leave a couple inches of space behind the unit for airflow anyway. Cons: - It's cheap... - Everything's half-inch particle board. It crunches loudly when you're tightening screws during assembly or if you try to move it once it's assembled and loaded. Some of the screws felt like they were ready to strip out when tightening. - The bottom panel, which is the main structural component, came with a crack right across the middle. The whole thing flexes at the crack. I'm not putting anything heavy on it (TV is wall-mounted) so not worth trying to get a replacement in my case. Definitely wouldn't expect this to survive a move. - The legs are uneven. Even with the outer legs being at an angle, they still stick out farther than the center leg. I trimmed them down so they're flush with the center leg. Also, the outer legs rest on one edge of their ends, so they won't sit properly on the adhesive foam feet. - Most of the instructions completely ignore the wooden dowels, so you have to figure it out yourself. I ended up with a lot of leftover dowels, screws, cams, etc. and I don't know if they're just extras or if I missed installing some of them. - Soft-close hinges have a "bounce" in the movement. - Vinyl laminate is slightly loose on a few edges. Other: - Retro Brown is MUCH darker than pictured. More like a dark espresso. - Takes a while to assemble. I've done lots of this kind of thing and it still took me about 90 minutes. Would've been faster with a drill with a screwdriver bit, but it's risky due to the weak particle board. Okay if you can get it on sale. With the cons, I would've felt ripped off if I paid full price. I'll almost certainly sell or give it away before my next move (which was kind of my plan before I even ordered it).

The unit had two areas of damage. The first, I noticed before assembly, but thought it minor enough not to be noticed. The second, however was a manufacturing flaw: a guide hole for a structural screw had been drilled off true and when the securing piece was attached, it broke through the veneer. At that point I had spent several hours work, and decided since the damage is not visible from the front, that I simply couldn’t be bothered to negotiate an exchange. I shall hope that the cabinet will not collapse, but I shan’t take the risk of ordering on line in future. Delivery was early and excellent.
