Nice high gloss finish, I was disappointed that tge drawers do not have glides. A bit awkward to open and close, but overall a good value

I'm giving a 3 because several parts arrived damaged and I'm still going back and forth, trying to reach a resolution. I have yet to assemble the desk, but one thing I noticed right off the bat is that the drawers don't have any type of slides, so they just sit on top of a piece of 'wood' and slide. That said, if not careful, there is nothing to stop the drawer from falling out if it's pulled open too far. Based on the damage, and poorly packaged box, I suspect that this desk may have been a return, which is exactly what I'd do were it not for the fact it would be a pain to do so. In the meantime, I'm in a hurry up and wait mode for a resolution I'm trusting Wayfair to make things right... UPDATE-So, I finally put this thing together and it was a task I have put together a LOT of furniture, and can honestly say this was the worst. Okay, I'm limited on space here. I'll just say, you get what you pay for. Don't waste your money on this.

Beautiful desk. Instructions are clear. Just allow enough time to build. It is a bit time consuming.

It arrived with 2 defects and since the sliders are unfortunately wood the drawers don't slide very smoothly, but I like the style of the desk and the shiny hard surface and I got it on sale for under $300, so I'll be keeping it
