Looks smaller in person. swivel is smooth.. color is a middark grey. I also purchased other barstools from Wayfair that look more luxurious and high end than this one. Will be returning. Although I will say that the fact that it has arms that extend around can be a plus for some with little kids who want to sit in it. The fact that the base has a square bothers me because I will always try to make it look straight when tucked into the counter. The other barstool I purchased has a round base and always looks uniform and neat.

Easy to assemble, I just love this chair, we bought six of them. They look great by my green Stone Island and this lovely wooden table I bought from Wayfair as well.
