Picking up this set of black Cranbrook vinyl chairs on close-out from Wayfair was a gamble that mostly paid off. At the reduced price for a set of two, they represent very solid value for basic seating—especially compared with full-price dining chairs. The design is simple and modern, with slightly curved seats and backrests that look cleaner than traditional straight-back vinyl chairs. The black vinyl has held up well so far and wipes down easily after meals. In terms of comfort, these chairs are okay for shorter dinner service or additional seating, but they aren’t lounge-chair plush. The vinyl upholstery looks sharp but feels a bit stiff, so prolonged sitting (long dinners or work sessions) isn’t as comfortable as thicker padded options. Assembly was straightforward, and the metal legs feel stable enough, though lighter than higher-end chairs. Quality is fair: you get what you pay for. They’re not heirloom furniture, but for occasional use or tight budgets, they’re a practical choice. If you snagged them on close-out like I did, the price helps balance the middling comfort and modest build quality. Overall, a decent budget upgrade for extra seating.

This vynil chair has a wide curved seat which makes it very comfortable for a larger tall person. It was easy to assemble with just the provided allen wrench and provided screws. The vynil is easy to clean with just a wet sponge.

Highly recommend! These chairs were VERY easy to put together - less than 10 minutes for both. Quality is terrific. Super stable and comfortable. They are exactly as described and a perfect fit in the small space we needed them for.
