This bookcase looks absolutely nothing like the pictured photos... they are completely photoshopped. I'm very unhappy with the quality. It looks cheaply made and something you would find at your local big box hardware store. I immediately considered returning it while unpacking it but I knew it would have been a nightmare and another expense to ship it back. The photos give the illusion that the wooden frame of the bookcase has slightly soft/rounded edges and that the screw holes/hardware are hidden (perhaps screwed or attached from the inside). They are not. The holes are on the exterior and the sad little white stickers that arrived to cover the holes are too small, off-color and fail to stick to the melamine finish of the frame. Additionally, after being fully assembled and properly tightened, there are noticeable gaps where the side supports meet the back supports of the unit. I'm usually happy with my Wayfair purchases but when they miss - they miss hard.

This cost right around $100 at the time of purchase and I think for the price, it’s fine! I would have liked the white finish instead of biscuit, but the white cost almost double at the time of my purchase. So, I may end up painting mine at some point (or not, who knows). For the record, I do not believe the quality of the item warrants any more than $100. But for $100, I’m pretty satisfied with it! Believe it or not, my main motivation for buying this bookcase was to get my two cats a more attractive alternative to a traditional cat tree, as I wanted to give them something in the living room of my apartment. One reason for deducting a whole star was that one of my pieces of wood did have a hairline crack in it, so I’m hoping it lasts ok (I think it will). On the plus side, assembly was quite simple and I did it alone in under an hour.

Feels sturdy and I’ve already gotten compliments on it, super cute!

I actually hate this bookcase. The screw holes aren’t drilled all the way through so the screws barely line up and strip easily. The patches to cover the screw are cheap paper stickers that are a different color than the bookcase.

Quality was OK - you get what you pay for.
