Buying budget furniture is stressful because the best case scenario is just OK. And the worst case scenario is pretty bad, where you waste a tidy amount of money and have something worse than useless because it's a chore to throw away. But this table is darn near close to a best case scenario. Meaning, it's a solid, sturdy table that I can eat at for as long as I choose to keep it. (And that's pretty good. This table is not garbage.) But it's a cheap table, and while it's totally presentable in my low-traffic, bachelor's living/dining room, no one is going to mistake it for a table that costs any more than what I paid for it. The size is good. And the legs look great. But the top surface is a cheap table. It's pretty dull, without any significant wood detail. The second photo I'm uploading is a piece of oiled walnut sitting on the table, so you can see what you're NOT getting. Would recommend for anyone who wants a solid table for not a lot of money, who doesn't want an embarrassingly childish or junk piece but still isn't interested in impressing anyone.
