The back doest stay still… it gets moving

Poor quality. Had for four months in a second home. Were used maybe a dozen times. Was sitting eating breakfast when legs collapsed under me. I weigh 150lbs so don’t think weight should be an issue.

The chairs are beautiful and solidly constructed. The only issue is the moving backs. The backs are designed to be able to flip but we have no idea why- you can only sit against the back when they’re in one of the two positions. And the problem with this is that they get loose again immediately after tightening. Like, right after. So when you sit back into it a couple of times it’s starts swinging and doesn’t offer much support. I noticed only one other review commented on this so I figured it was an anomaly. But we ordered 6 chairs and they all have this problem. BUT we love the look and other than that they are sturdy. So my husband is going to drill a screw in each of the backs to hold them in place. Normally I wouldn’t go through this to make them work but that’s how much I like them other than this near fatal flaw. Pillows are solid and not squishy which I also love and easily unzipped to wash.

These chairs arent great. They arent even good. The fact that they are reversible makes the backs swing around in circles when you are trying to sit in them. Eventually they wont stay upright. And the caning isnt sturdy. Ive had these for less than 6 months and the backs are coming apart.

These chairs are incredibly built and were very very easy to assemble. The quality is top notch. They really make great side chairs and the back swivels in and out so you can adjust to your comfort. I think the black and rattan pattern are really timeless.
