This chair is a little bit firm, but I'd rather that than too soft, as it will likely get softer over time. It's a little weird that the back is a separate piece (for shipping ease) that you have to put together yourself, so you get a line along the back. Colour is true to the site. Only complaint is that delivery company never calls to say when they are coming. I have to monitor the delivery with the tracking number myself and watch for changes for expected delivery date. Still a good value, I saw a chair at IKEA for about the same price that was not near as nice as this one, especially with the nail head detailing and free delivery, makes this a much better value.. The chair is so comfortable. My husband is 6'2" and loves to sit in it with his feet up. The only thing I found disappointing is that the wooden plugs to cover the screws are unfinished wood. A nice looking chair. The colour is a rich brown that makes a nice accent to my green room. The padding in the seat cushion is a bit thin, though, so it wont be comfortable for long-term sitting (hence 4 stars)... but I bought this as an accent chair, so its perfect for that. Great chair for the price. It’s quite firm, but good for when you have guests. The chair arrived with some dirt on it, to which the manufacturer quickly responded and rectified the situation. There is a small gap between the bottom cushion and the back cushion, but something that I can look past.
