I purchased this desk because it was the perfect size for a small space in my room, and it works well for my needs as a computer table and mail drop area. However, there were a few disappointments. I was expecting the hardwood to have a more visible grain, but the surface looks more like a smooth, hard plywood than solid wood. The assembly process was also more time-consuming than anticipated—my husband, who is very experienced with building furniture, spent about 5–6 hours putting it together. Another issue is with the file cabinet design. It includes pre-cut grooves for metal bars intended to hold hanging files, but standard hanging files don’t actually fit properly. That was frustrating and makes that feature less usable than expected. Other than these issues, the desk looks like the picture. Overall, the desk serves its purpose and fits the space perfectly, but the material quality, assembly time, and file cabinet design could definitely be improved.

I ordered Oak and absolutely love this desk!! The file drawer is odd sized so will need to use adjustable hooks to hang folders.

Love it! I was replacing an old, larger hutch-style desk. I wanted a smaller overall desk that still had substantial surface area and decent storage. This desk hits the mark perfectly! I was a bit nervous about assembly of the desk after reading many concerning reviews - it does take a while - 2.5 hours for my husband and I - but instructions are very detailed - Just go into it knowing it will take a chunk of time but will be worthwhile.

I like the color and small size. It still has storage even with low profile.

Visually, this desk is a win. The design is clean, and it fits into my space really well. It feels solid and stable once it’s all set up, which I appreciate. That said, putting it together was way more involved than I expected. It took several hours, and some steps were more complicated than they needed to be. If you’re not into long builds, this might not be the right pick. The finish looks nice, but it’s clear the materials are manufactured wood. It doesn’t look cheap, but you can tell it’s not the real thing once you’re up close. Overall, it does the job and looks great, but for the price, I think the assembly should’ve been easier—or the materials a bit more premium. It feels slightly overpriced for what you get.
