The bookcase looks terrific in my Mah Jongg room.

This bookcase is absolutely gorgeous. We’re currently using it in our kitchen and it looks like it belongs in a design magazine — the arched top and sliding cabinet doors give it such an elegant, intentional look. That said, assembly nearly broke me. Several steps genuinely require two people because you have to simultaneously hold pieces in place while lining things up — it’s basically furniture Twister. The worst offender the back panels. Instead of one solid panel that slides in cleanly, this shelf uses two split panels joined by a plastic connector. Getting both panels seated into the connector and the grooves at the same time is a nightmare because the unit isn’t fully stabilized at that point, so everything keeps popping out. You have to do this twice — once for the main shelf, once for the bottom cabinet. It is not a pretty situation. My partner and I restarted multiple times before we finally got it. Up close, that center seam is also the weakest-looking part of an otherwise beautiful piece. If you have a helper and patience to spare absolutely buy it. Just maybe clear your schedule and your stress.

Truthfully first off. The Arch in the first 2 steps of assembly is a real pain in the butt getting it all to line up. I'm 68 and it took me a hour and a half to assemble. Quality is ok. There were some imperfections. But after assembled they were not visible. Brilliant the way they designed the sliding doors. The dark walnut looks almost black. Do wish I would have gotten a lighter version. But it is a good product and very stylish.

Beautiful cabinet I bought for my office. There are a few steps that the directions suggest two people to assemble so keep that in mind. The back of this cabinet has about 30 screws to screw in — Highly suggest having a drill or electric screwdriver. All that said cabinet is so worth it. Also build where you want it.

These bookshelves were so nice once together, however a visual piece came broken. I’ll use wood filler to hide it. The material on the bookshelves is ok, not as sturdy as I would like it.. but it looks great in my side room and once I add the scones it will look beautiful!
