Imagine my surprise when I opened the box containing this bookcase only to find it was damaged. How that happened I can’t imagine. It was packed effectively in its own specially-made crate of hard cardboard, plastic and Styrofoam. But the corner of the left facing cabinet had shattered, as if kicked. Wayfair is sending a replacement. But thought I would go ahead and write this review. The bookcase is made in India, of Mango Wood, which grows in India and a manufactured wood. It took a while to find this information. No mention of the type of wood came with the shelf. I found it by logging onto the manufacturer website. Mango Wood is described as incredibly durable and known for its strength and resistance to cracking. But apparently this bookcase didn’t get that memo. This piece is pretty to look at. But bulkier than it needs to be. The natural color of the wood is attractive with a subdued jungle scene on the bottom doors. So subdued that my husband had to point out the yellowish green stems shooting upwards. I had noticed the white leaves above them. It’s an attractive bookcase. I’m sure the damage is a fluke since it’s solidly made. Just be sure to check the dimensions and make sure it will fit in your space before purchasing. In my photos the gold legs are yet to be attached. We're waiting for a replacement.

Absolutely LOVE this bookshelf, it was easy to put together, super sturdy. The real hard wood is gorgeous. The design on the cabinets are a little lackluster as I thought they were engraved but theyre really like a vinyl sticker Still beautiful though!

Giving this solid bookcase 5 stars. First of all it was packed and protected very well during shipping. Upon opening I was delighted to see it was already assembled! Literally nothing makes me happier! Only the legs need to be attached. It also comes with a good quality anchoring set which will be necessary based on the weight of this piece. This will be a bookcase in my granddaughters room and we are very happy with it!

The bookcase looks cute especially with its printed "peaceful meadow!" I was also happy to see that it only needed the legs attached. While it is well constructed, I advise you use the included wall anchors for additional support especially if you add heavy items. My one and only pain point with the bookcase is that the instructions are very confusing. This is why I rated the item a four star instead of a five. It was not clear that the two legs and crossbar are asymmetrical and must be installed in a specific way. The only evidence of which direction to install the legs and crossbar was A, B, C, and D stickers attached to the legs, crossbar, and bookcase. I wish the instructions had made a reference to the A, B, C, and D letters, especially since one of the stickers fell off making it impossible to know which direction the crossbar should go. This should not deter you from purchasing this bookcase as it is stunning and built of quality mango wood.

This was a great find at Wayfair! I can't wait until my husband gets around to putting it together. Judging from the size and weight of the box it is going to be a big project, but certainly worth it to have such a beautiful piece of furniture. I know Wayfair will be available to answer any questions if we run into issues w/ assembly. That's why we buy almost all of our home furnishings from Wayfair. They stand behind all purchases. It's a beauty!
