I ordered this product in rustic oak, which looks like reclaimed barn board. The step-by-step assembly instructions were excellent, with perfectly packaged and labeled parts. There was an extra "spare parts" bag, which I think is smart on the part of the manufacturer. I put this baby together on my own, but an extra pair of hands might have been useful to access for help in 2 steps of the assembly process (a tad awkward to do on own). The instructions say "NO DRILL", and I concur as it would be easy to over torque and possibly split the wood in a few places. A ratchet might be useful instead? I did by hand, and a couple of the screws required some hand strength near the end. The finished product is lovely and sturdy... and (o happy day) fits baskets I had on hand from another company (i**a), seen in the pic, which was taken immediately upon completion. Now to decorate and accessorize the area! I was also very happily surprised to receive the product on a Sunday morning, within 36h of ordering! Everything was in perfect, damage-free condition (no horror story here). I ordered this with the Gwen 46" console table, which is a perfect match, and both arrived together. Good quality. Easy assembly. Feels sturdy when you sit on it. I wish it was designed to open like kitchen cabinet doors. If I push it all the way to the baseboard, the back of the board will scratch the wall when opening. I will have to add a spacer at the bottom to keep it from pushing backwards every time someone sits down. It would also be nice if it opened a little wider. Other than that, I’m happy with it.. Pretty and a great size for entry way storage. The lid does not open completely vertical, but the hinge attachment keeps the lid from falling shut. I wanted a white bench for decor purposes, this one fit the bill. Although expensive for a bench made of polyester seat and metal legs in my opinion, I did choose to buy it. It came with a few scuff marks but not visible enough for me to return it. Otherwise sturdy and neat looking. Glad it has adjustable ends on the feet as it was not level once legs were screwed in.
