Love that this is solid wood and unfinished. The bookcase will go in my kitchen and I’m going to paint it to match my upper cabinets. Have given it a light sanding so far - the wood is very nice - no cracks or knot holes. Assembly should be pretty straight forward. The back of bookcase is thin plywood - no MDF at all.

We still have to add the final shelves into the bookcase, but I cannot tell you how lovely this case is. Even without painting, the wood grain looks so nice, and the quality of the product is great! The wood grain is smooth. The product is sturdy and sits evenly on the floor. Cant wait to use this product and fill it with games, books,and art supplies to use with my grandkids. We bought two of these and they were both put together in under an hour.

Very nice, and it is definitely solid wood! I use it next to my desk and it holds my printer perfectly on top.

Sturdy, well built, solid wood. Shipped well packed. Paint color sand dollar is a nice neutral ivory, fine as is and easy to paint over. Hard to find small size.

This boookcase is very nice. It's not an exceptional deal. The materials are not the best. But it is a unique size and fits the space in my house perfectly so I am pleased with having it. Just not in the top tier of furnishings I've bought through Wayfair , not by a long shot.
