The first one came damaged, but wayfarer was quick to send me a replacement at no extra cost. I use the shelf in my foyer right next to a small accent chair. I have a curved staircase with wooden spindles, so there is not a lot of actual wall space. This shelf fits perfectly next to the small accent chair next to the curve of the stairs and is the perfect height and width. I do not think it is meant to hold super heavy items, but I just have some light weight decor pieces on it (faux florals, picture frames, small ceramics, candles) and it works perfectly.

The unit is not completely straight, therefore the bottom shelf does not fit.
