The mirror needs some type of slow release added to it. If the mirror part were to fall without being guided by hand, it would most likely break, that part is heavy and, in my opinion, dangerous if it were to fall while youve got you head or hands near it. Took a knowledgeable handy man close to 4 hours to assemble with no mistakes. Mine was missing one piece, and Ive submitted a request for its replacement. Also, the front center drawer is only for looks. Theres not an actual pull out drawer. Just now going over it and going to lower my rating because the top black piece that has the USB plug in, the plastic is very much scratched and to replace that will require the whole unit to be disassembled. And another lower rating and request to return this item. Do not purchase this unless they add a slow release to the mirror. Its almost broke my hand 3x. The bench storage seat is so heavy that I can barely get it to move on the carpet.

Love this using as a vanity and a desk. The mirror is a little short so hard to see but the desk looks very nice. Took my husband 2 hours to put together but the steps were clear.

Works great for a makeup vanity!
