Easy to put together. Took a few hours to put together on my own. I love the storage and wood top.

What a great purchase! Very solid,well constructed and beautiful real wood surface. Provides us with more prep area and storage like u wouldn't believe. I purchased those amazing bins from Wayfair as well. They come in a set of 4.

My husband and I live in a very small one bedroom apartment and our kitchen has limited counter space so we needed something extra to use. I do a lot of cooking and baking so an island felt like the perfect choice and when I saw this one I fell in love. It arrived a couple of days ago and we put it together yesterday (it needs two people if you’re not using power tools). Most of it was easy to assemble, but the top light wood piece is a really hard wood and the predrilled holes are pathetic. If you’re using a manual screwdriver it will hurt your hand to get the hinges and spring loaded brackets onto this piece. It was a major nuisance and my poor husband’s hands are blistered from the effort. A lot of the screws stripped because of this situation, but luckily we had some extras in the toolbox to make up for that. I highly recommend using a power drill to put this top piece on to save your hand and to make the job faster. We also found ourselves with three extra screws and discovered that the hinges were missing a predrilled hole in the center of each on one side. Thankfully this doesn’t affect the sturdiness of anything, but that’s definitely an oversight in the production of this island. All in all it is a very sturdy piece of furniture and the materials feel like they’re high quality. It’s absolutely beautiful too and fits our space perfectly. I just had to knock a star off though for the issues we experienced because for the price of this thing it should’ve been an easier assembly process. I highly recommend the finished product though and it’s already worth every penny for giving me much needed counter space next to the kitchen. Please up your quality control practices, Wayfair to help future customers.

This kitchen island is the perfect fit for an apartment. It has great storage space under the wooden block and is definitely made well.
